Well after a late start ... I couldn't get on the road without washing the exterior of the RV; we headed out the door and northbound! Around noon we stopped at a Navarro rest stop to eat salami sandwiches, some carrots and while the kids played at the playground .... I got my first vacation nap! I was awakened up when I realized that a guy pulling a new travel trailer was make a u-turn next to us. He had pulled into the rest stop the wrong way!!! Between the swarms of grasshoppers and some frogs taking a mud bath, it was a nice stop.
When we got on 20 west bound, we were slowed to a crawl as a funeral precession was making its way the same direction.
We arrived at the campground around 3pm and hit the pool right away - 105 degrees by the newly installed dash temp gauge! After some delicious home made tacos, we let the kids rampage the area on big wheels and rip sticks! Until tomorrow - stay safe!
