The Pitfalls of Being an Eagle Scout

We are 2 days from starting our trip to California!  Oh the fun ... the excitement ... the dread ... the horror!  This trip will be a full three weeks and take us over 4800 miles - in a 23 foot Class C RV!  Let's put that into perspective for you - we need to carry provisions in an area the size of most peoples bedroom; including 2 adults, a 14 year old, her 4 year old brother and Duke ... a 110 pound German Shepherd that sheds enough hair each day to build a medium size dog.  Like the title says - I tend to add to our delima ... as a good Eagle Scout I want to be prepared for anything that might pop up along the way which tends to add bulk and weight to what we carry ... therefore the purge begins.  As a good wife, Debbie has gotten the kids and her stuff packed already; which means the purging will be from ... gasp ... my stuff.  It's gonna be a long couple of days.

Over the next few weeks we will do our best to update pictures each night from our journey - So Sign Up For Updates and join us as we see some of the most beautiful scenery this great country has to offer!
