We're Back!!!

Were Home! 3 weeks, 5003 miles, 7 states, over 2000 pictures and 55 videos to sort and publish. No major mechanical issues ... well, one door puncture, reattachment of a vent cover and air shock wifi problems ... but nothing to slow us down! Plus - We single handly helped the economy with our gas purchases and the associated taxes paid!

Keep an eye on our two blogs for upcoming photos and videos!

Back in Texas

Made it to Lubbock! We'll post pictures of the last few days soon ... We deviated our route and spent time at The Grand Canyon yesterday morning. Absolutely breath taking! Today we stopped in Clovis, NM at the railroad museum. I highly recommend adding it to your list of things to see - the owners bought the train station and have converted it into a museum and model train exhibit ... Plus it overlooks the Clovis BNSF yard.

We head to Leander, Tx tomorrow - north of Austin. God Bless and keep your travels safe!

Well, we're back on-line and on the road again!!!!!  Spent the last several days in the Bay Area of California for our nephew Mike and his beautiful bride Missy's wedding.  It was great to see my parents, sister and her husband and my brother and his wife from Washington - not to mention our nephews Garrett and David!  Now to the pictures - from Yosemite, San Francisco, Monterey Bay, Morro Dunes and Barstow ....

Monument Valley and Canyon Lands

Sorry for the delay in posting.  Decided the trip hasn't been exciting enough so I passed a couple kidney stones yesterday just to add some entertainment.  You need to know some goals Debbie and I have had for our kids - 1:  Give them as great an experience as possible while they are under our "control" ... you know, before Madonna and Brittney start mushing their minds and 2:  Bore them to death on trips of great length that they won't appreciate until  they have kids of their own ... we are accomplishing that for certain!

For those of you playing along in our game of "how many different state plates" have you seen .... we are up to 39 in a week.

Out-freaking-standing Day

Well all ... For a day that was short on mileage it turned out to be GREAT and the longest on the road! To tell you how late ... We usually eat by 5:30 ... Didnt start the bbq until 8:30. Due to that, I'll post pictures tomorrow. We saw some of the greatest sights we have seen to date. We are safe at at Goulding's RV park in Monument Valley. Water pressure was low this vending ... Evidently the camp ground is full so they had to go up the hill and turn on a second tank! Until tomorrow - have a great night and stay safe!

A Day of Indian Reservations

Today we headed north out of New Mexico into Colorado.  Saw our first wild animals - 3 elk and a couple of deer.  Storms caught up with us in Durango but let up for dinner in Cortez.  We did a little off roading today and saw some of the country north of Durango ... we'll have to take a screw driver to all the loosened screws from our off roading adventures the last two days.  Nothing like a washboard road to slow you down!!!!  Tomorrow we head to Mesa Verde, Four Corners and Monument Valley.
